Inside Line Promotions – LINDSAY, Okla. (June 6, 2017) – Harli White is in the midst of battling for the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour Rookie of the Year Award as the season hits its busiest week of the year.

White ranks third in the Rookie of the Year chase entering the Sizzlin’ Summer Speedweek, which features seven races in nine days throughout Texas, Oklahoma and Missouri.

“We just need to catch up on points before we go to Washington later this month,” she said. “It’s going to be tough, but we’ve been in a funk and need to get out of the funk. I think Speedweek might be the turning point.”

The action begins this Friday at West Texas Raceway in Lubbock, Texas, where she will make her debut. Round 2 is Saturday at Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas. White finished 17th at the oval last summer during her debut.

“It’s really important for us to get our momentum turned around and it’s critical to start Speedweek strong,” she said. “It’s a lot of racing and a lot of traveling in a short amount of time. If you’re running well it’s a great week and if you’re struggling it’s a hard week.”

Next week’s Speedweek races are June 13 at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas; June 14 at Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Okla.; June 15 at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla.; June 16 at Randolph County Raceway in Moberly, Mo.; and June 17 at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo.

“We’ve got our new motor back, our big boy motor,” she said. “That gives us an extra confidence level because its proven in the past it’s a really good running motor. It’s always good to know our stuff is good and then it’s up to you to do well.”

White is scheduled to have her t-shirt trailer at all of the races except Devil’s Bowl Speedway and Lawton Speedway, where she will have apparel at her race trailer both nights.
