Inside Line Promotions – ALGER, Wash. (June 28, 2017) – Harli White will wrap up her first visit to compete in the Northwest with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour this weekend during the Fred Brownfield Classic on Friday and Saturday at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Wash.
“I’ve heard great things about that track and we had a blast making our debut in Washington last weekend during the Dirt Cup,” she said. “Hopefully we get a couple better results at Grays Harbor.”
White kicked off her trip to Washington last weekend at Skagit Speedway, which hosted the 46th annual Jim Raper Memorial Dirt Cup. The action began on Thursday, when White finished fourth in a heat race and third in a B Main to transfer into the back of the main event. She then rallied from 22nd to 16th in the A Main.
“Our best night was our first one,” she said. “We didn’t draw well at all on Friday and that put us behind from the start.”
White finished where she started – seventh – in a heat race, which relegated her to a B Main. Unfortunately, she was unable to finish the consolation race and her night ended early.
Once preliminary points were calculated White lined up sixth in a B Main during Saturday’s finale.
“We picked up a pair of positions, but finished one spot shy of transferring into the big show,” she said. “It was disappointing, but we had a good time meeting the fans in Washington. I look forward to meeting more fans this weekend at Grays Harbor Raceway.”
