Inside Line Promotions – MASON CITY, Iowa (Aug. 1, 2017) – Harli White gained some momentum on Sunday during her debut at Mason City Motor Speedway.

White kicked off the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour event by finishing ninth in a heat race on the tricky track, which took rubber before heat races began. That relegated her toward the back of the A Main.

“It was a track where you needed to start toward the front all night,” she said. “Passing was at a premium. It was really tough to get around anyone. We definitely got better as the night went on and we made progress in the main event so that was a positive.”

White rallied from 23rd to a 16th-place finish, which was the second-most cars passed in the main event.

It capped a weekend that began the previous night at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, where White qualified 21st quickest in her Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour group. She then finished eighth in a heat race and 10th in a B Main.

“It all boils down to qualifying at Knoxville,” she said. “Now that we have two shows this season at Knoxville with qualifying under our belts I feel better heading into the 360 Knoxville Nationals. We will need to improve our qualifying results to put ourselves in position to have a great event.”

White will return to Knoxville Raceway this Thursday through Saturday for the 27th annual 360 Knoxville Nationals presented by Great Southern Bank.

She will have her t-shirt trailer with new apparel at the track throughout the 360 Knoxville Nationals and 410 Knoxville Nationals.
