Inside Line Promotions – LINDSAY, Okla. (Sept. 19, 2017) – Harli White is refreshed after taking the last two weeks off from racing.
White had a family engagement keep her home last weekend, which gave her team one more week of preparation for a grueling final two months of the season.
“I’m ready to get back to racing,” she said. “It was a good refresher. It has been non-stop since February. We hadn’t had a weekend off. It was much needed for me and my team. It usually clears your mind going into the next race.”
The next opportunity to compete is this Thursday through Saturday at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo., for the 7th annual Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin Memorial with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.
“I’m excited to get back there,” she said. “It’s one of my favorite tracks. We’re still learning about how to get around there well so having three nights of racing will be beneficial.”
White posted her career-best finish – 13th – at the track during her lone start this season. She placed 15th during the opening night of the event last year and ended 14th in 2014.
“The goal for this weekend is to pass cars in every race we compete in,” she said. “There will be a lot of cars there and a lot of good drivers so our No. 1 goal is to get as many points as possible to put ourselves in a great position come Saturday night.”
White enters the weekend ranked ninth in the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour championship standings.
