Inside Line Promotions – LINDSAY, Okla. (Nov. 7, 2017) – Harli White is scheduled to wrap up the 2017 season this weekend when she competes in the desert with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.
White enters the tripleheader, which is Thursday through Saturday at Cocopah Speedway in Somerton, Ariz., ranked ninth in the championship standings and once the weekend is complete she will be one of the first females to have ever spent a full season racing on the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour trail.
“We have a fresh motor going in for this weekend,” she said. “It’s good to have that in the back of our mind, just to know everything is right. We need to try to capitalize on that.”
White competed at the track in 2013 and 2014 with a best result of 23rd place during her most recent outing.
“I like the race track,” she said. “It’s a nice facility and has some good racing. It’s usually pretty racy. I think the last time I went there we battled engine problems the whole time. We didn’t get to race much because of electrical problems. In the past I haven’t had the best luck there.”
White is hoping that turns around this weekend.
“We haven’t had consistent top fives or top 10s this year like we wanted,” she said. “We’re hoping for a good pill draw. We haven’t had much luck on draws this year. Hopefully we’ll get a little lucky and get a good starting spot and then we can compete for top fives and top 10s.”
White will participate in the Fan Fest on Wednesday at the bowling alley located across the street from the race track prior to the practice night.
