Inside Line Promotions – LINDSAY, Okla. (Feb. 13, 2018) – Harli White will kick off her 2018 campaign this weekend at the Ronald Laney Memorial King of the 360s.

White and her CatSpot backed team are slated to tackle the marquee event, which is hosted by East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, Fla., Thursday through Saturday, for the second straight season.

“This year is going to be huge with CatSpot jumping on board and my other sponsors supporting me,” she said. “It’s great to know I can just go out there and race. This winter we worked really hard on making our cars the best. That gives me full confidence. Now it’s up to me to get to the front and race up there.”

White won a pair of heat races and advanced from fourth to second place in the other heat during the three-day event last season. She placed eighth in the feature during Night 2 to highlight the weekend, which showcased a fast car all three nights. The opening night was hampered by a racing incident that damaged her race car and the finale was stymied by a mechanical failure while White was running in the top five with less than 10 laps remaining.

“Last year I had a really good chance at winning the final night,” she said. “We had a motor lay down on us so that was a big bummer. It was a highlight in my career to race up front with those guys. That was a heartbreaking ending, but we took a lot of confidence from it. Hopefully we can have that same speed with a little better luck this weekend. We’re bringing out that car again. It’s an older one that we don’t get to race very often. It’s a super fast car that works. It’s forgiving so I love racing it.”

White is looking to build momentum heading into her second straight year on the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour, which begins next month.

“This is a huge year,” she said. “We’ll be traveling a lot and racing a lot. It’s been a long offseason. I raced the Chili Bowl, but it seems like forever since I’ve been racing. I was able to go to the NHRA race in Pomona last weekend and support my CatSpot teammate, Scott Palmer. I got my racing fix there. I enjoyed a different feel of racing. It was a great experience. Being able to stand behind the top fuel car when it took off was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I feel blessed to be part of the CatSpot team and look forward to representing them on the track soon.”
