Inside Line Promotions – MESQUITE, Texas (March 20, 2018) – Harli White tied her career-best Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com result at Devil’s Bowl Speedway last Friday during the opening night of the 45th annual Spring Nationals.

Her team debuted a new chassis from Mach 1 Chassis and everything clicked right away.

“We broke out a new car last weekend and we had a setup on it that worked off the bat,” she said. “We drew the pole for a heat race, which we won. That was pretty important and it put us in the redraw.”

White’s heat race win earned enough points for a spot in the feature redraw. She drew the No. 3 to line up on the inside of the second row for the A Main.

“We were a little snug so we kept freeing up all night and we didn’t go too dramatic,” she said. “We should have went twice as much instead of what we did in the A Main.

“We were really good off the bat and battled between third and fourth for most of the race. The rubber came in on the bottom of the track. I saw someone dive down there and so I tried it. With about five laps to go we had a caution. On the restart I got tight and pushed up out of the rubber and a couple of cars got by me. The track was so fast and one lane that if you screwed up and missed it people were right there.”

White’s ninth-place result was her ninth career top 10 with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.

Saturday’s event finale rained out.

White will take this weekend off before competing March 30-31 at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kan., during the 8th annual Park City Cup/Air Capital Shootout.
