Inside Line Promotions – FORT WORTH, Texas (April 10, 2018) – Harli White had a promising start to the Tony Stewart Presents the Vankor Texas Sprint Car Nationals last Friday at Texas Motor Speedway.

White opened the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com doubleheader by winning a heat race from the pole position, which locked her into the feature redraw. She pulled the No. 2 during the random redraw to start the 25-lap A Main on the outside of the front row.

“Friday night was going real good,” she said. “We had a fast car and we had it rolling. Unfortunately, we got junked by someone else’s mistake. As a racer that stuff is going to happen. You just have to move on. It was a bummer we brought (Mach 1 Chassis Owner) Mark Smith down and had an opportunity to learn more about running a Mach 1, but it was cut short early.”

Another driver ran into White entering turn one on the start of the race. The contact forced White head on into the outside wall and she flipped. The impact destroyed the race car and she was credited with a 24th-place finish.

The team brought out a spare car on Saturday for the event finale. White advanced from fourth to third place in a heat race, which earned enough points to lock her into the 13th starting position for the main event.

“We didn’t have a lot of speed in the car so we made some adjustments for the A Main,” she said. “We junked our good shocks on Friday so we had to get our backup shocks. Everything wasn’t right and we fought with those all night. We got up to ninth or so, but the longer the race went the worse the car got. I was hanging on to get the best result I could.”

White capped the event with an 11th-place finish.

The team will take the next couple of weekends off before returning to action on April 27 at Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Ky., with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.
