Inside Line Promotions – OSKALOOSA, Iowa (Aug. 8, 2018) – Harli White will make her second career start in the 58th annual 5-Hour Energy Knoxville Nationals presented by Casey’s General Stores this week at Knoxville Raceway.
White has leased a 410ci engine to compete in sprint car racing’s biggest event, which runs Wednesday through Saturday at the half-mile oval.
“We are extremely exited to race at the Knoxville Nationals again,” she said. “It was a dream come true to be able to participate last year and we’re looking forward to improving on our results.”
White finished third in a heat race to qualify for the A Main during her preliminary night last year.
“That was very valuable to have that experience and get those laps in an A Main setting,” she said. “The best of the best race at the Knoxville Nationals so that was great to be able to compete with some of them in a heat race and A Main last year.”
White is coming off her debut at Southern Iowa Speedway on Tuesday during the Sage Fruit Ultimate ASCS Challenge presented by Searsboro Telephone Company. She kicked off the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com event by placing third in a heat race before capping the night with a 14th-place run in the A Main.
That advanced her a position to 11th in the ASCS National Tour championship standings – only eight points out of the top 10.
