Inside Line Promotions – LINDSAY, Okla. (Oct. 2, 2018) – Harli White is down to only of handful of races remaining this season and her final visit of the year to Arkansas will be this weekend for the 31st annual COMP Cams Short Track Nationals.
White will invade I-30 Speedway in Little Rock on Friday and Saturday for the marquee event.
“You go in there with the mindset that you need to pass cars every time you go on the track,” she said. “It’s all about passing points. With the way the format is you have to go forward in every race that you are in.”
White’s career-best finish at the quarter-mile oval came during a preliminary night of the 2016 Short Track Nationals when she earned a seventh-place outing.
She has visited the track twice this season with a season-best run of 13th in May during a Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com race.
“I have confidence at I-30 Speedway,” she said. “We’ve been there many times and have the notes for it. We know how the track changes throughout the night. That helps, too. I go into every race with the goal of finishing strong and having a top five or a top-10 finish. I want to move forward and be competitive and hopefully come out with a good finish.”
Following the Short Track Nationals White will have two more weekends of action with the ASCS National Tour later this month. First, she will race at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, on Oct. 19-20 before venturing to Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla., the following weekend.
White is currently tied for 11th in the ASCS National Tour championship standings. However, she is only 47 points out of the top 10.
