Inside Line Promotions – SAPULPA, Okla. (Oct. 31, 2018) – Harli White had a strong run going last Saturday during the John Christner Trucking Fall Fling at Creek County Speedway.
White won a heat race, placed seventh in a qualifier and won a B Main to lock into the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com main event. Unfortunately, she was caught up in a racing incident early and was unable to finish the feature.
“There were 60 other cars there so it was great to drive our way into the show,” she said. “It’s a small, tight track and everyone is racing in close quarters. We were involved in a crash early in the race and weren’t able to get back out there.”
White finished her second full season on the ASCS National Tour ranked 11th in the championship standings – only 24 points out of a top 10.
“It takes a lot to complete a full season on the road so that’s an accomplishment in itself,” she said. “I want to thank my family, sponsors and crew chief, Ryan, for all of the hard work and support. I feel like we’ve gotten a lot better during the last two years of being on the road full time.”
White is scheduled to race this Sunday at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark., with the USCS Series. She will line up seventh in the first of twin features.
“We had a good run from fifth to third during a heat race before placing seventh in a dash a couple of weeks ago when the event started,” she said. “It ended up raining out the features so we’re excited that they rescheduled on a weekend we had off so we can go race. Hopefully we can move forward and earn a strong finish in both main events.”
